Tow Matters

What is a “snatch block?”

This tool is a descendant of basic pulley mechanics invented in Ancient Egypt. They are used in towing to change the direction of the pull or to lessen the line tension of the winch and cable. A snatch block is a type of block with a wheel that has a groove on it where a rope or cable is secured. There’s a removable side plate to allow for easy insertion of the cable.
